Post Pre-K

Starting at ~4 years

Children that attend UPK at HCS have the option to join us at the end of their day. These children will either join the Dragonfly or Grasshopper room depending on their prior year placement and availability. In this program our young learners are preparing for kindergarten, with a strong emphasis on socialization. We follow a play-based routine with learning centers, circle time and the development of early literacy skills. Children are introduced to a science center where they can explore and perform simple experiments. Literacy skills are encouraged in our writing and reading centers. Number exploration, counting pieces, puzzles and art opportunities are often available. These rooms are located in the new CNS expansion space in the terrace level of Hamilton Central School.
