Chenango Nursery School was established in 1948 as a non-profit cooperative school for children in the Hamilton, NY area. CNS is fully licensed by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services. CNS is open to all, without regard to race, religion, sexual preference, creed, national origin, or disability.
Mission StatementChenango Nursery School strives to enhance the complete growth of each child by providing a wide range of traditional and innovative learning approaches in a safe, caring, and nurturing enviornment.
Cooperative Choice
In response to the needs of children and their parents, CNS has grown and changed through the years but it continues to be what it was from the beginning, a fully cooperative effort of concerned parents. We are a corperation owned and operated by the parents of the children attending the school. A board of parents and community members establishes school policies and programs. A Parent Advisory Committee also exists to supply input and promote participation in CNS activities. Parental involvement is essential to the success of the school.

Hours
During
the school year (September through June) we operate Monday through
Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., except during holidays.
Summer hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
